U7790 is SpaceBridge’s high performance networking satellite modem with true MESH capability allowing direct remote-to-remote connectivity without the need to double-hop traffic through the ESTELLA Core HUB. The U7790 can process IP throughput of 100Mbps from either the HUB or pool of 16 MESH carriers while supporting uplink/MESH capability up to 25 Mbps per carrier.
The U7790 is built to work seamlessly within SpaceBridge’s multi-service ESTELLA Core environment, whether as part of an Overlay MESH or a Full MESH network. In both cases, the ESTELLA Core HUB combines Dynamic Rate Adaptation (DRA) with 3D-TDMA (which adjusts MODCOD and timeslot block sizes) with WaveSwitch™. This enables the system to dynamically run Star and MESH carriers all in the same frequency pools, so sites always connect at the highest efficiency. The result is that all sites, including Mesh, always operate at the highest efficiency.
The Mesh modem further enhances performance with simultaneous multi-carrier reception, allowing it to act as a regional hub for Star-in-Star applications delivering seamless, scalable, and highly efficient connectivity.

- Dynamic return carrier creation or Dynamic Waveform Assignment (DWA) to best match instantaneous needs of MESH users through automatic selection of TDMA or WaveSwitch™ waveforms
- Extended DVB-RCS2 return channels simultaneously supporting from SS-BPSK to 64QAM in Star and SS-BPSK to 16QAM in MESH, up to 5% roll-offs. Dynamically selects optimal block size, and MODCOD per timeslot, per carrier, per frame interval (every 26.5msecs) to maximize efficiency and throughput
- WaveSwitchTM return link waveforms offering highest Dynamic SCPC efficiency from remote to HUB (Hubs-and-Spokes, Star) or for remote to remote (MESH or Star-in-Star) connectivity
- MESH remote-to-remote Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) providing high resilience connectivity.
