The successful candidate will help translate system concepts into actionable requirements, support development teams during design and bring-up, and actively participate in end-to-end system integration, debugging, and validation.Key Responsibilities\u2022 Define system-level architectures, interfaces, and specifications for hub and terminal subsystems.\u2022 Perform end-to-end system analysis of DVB-RCS2 \/ DVB-S2X technologies, including traffic flows, timing, QoS, and synchronization.\u2022 Participate in the integration and validation of new features (e.g. mobility, SDN\/VNF, MEC, encryption, cloud integration).\u2022 Support hub and modem development through modeling, simulation, and lab testing.\u2022 Develop and maintain system requirements, sequence diagrams, and test plans, ensuring traceability from design to verification.\u2022 Conduct lab-based troubleshooting and experimentation using RF, baseband, and networking tools.\u2022 Contribute to automation and test scripts for system-level regression and performance validation.\u2022 Collaborate closely with HW, FPGA, DSP, and software teams to ensure alignment with system intent and performance objectives.\u2022 Prepare technical documentation and specifications for internal use and selected external stakeholdersKnowledge and Experience\u2022 Solid understanding of satellite and wireless communication systems, including modulation, coding, synchronization, propagation, and resource control.\u2022 Strong familiarity with DVB-S2X \/ DVB-RCS2 or similar standards.\u2022 Strong foundation in IP networking, including routing, switching, QoS, acceleration techniques, SDN, and virtualization.\u2022 Hands-on experience with Linux-based systems and lab environments, including traffic generation, network traffic analysis, and system-level troubleshooting.\u2022 Familiarity with scripting and automation tools to support system integration and validation activities is an asset.\u2022 Experience with cellular backhauling, Metro Ethernet (MEF 3.0), or SD-WAN is an asset.\u2022 Hands-on experience in telecom lab environments, integrating routers, modems, and network analyzers.\u2022 Working knowledge of security and encryption mechanisms.\u2022 Familiarity with NMS\/EMS, OSS\/BSS, and accounting systems is an asset.\u2022 Exposure to cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, virtualization, containerization) is a plus.\u2022 Interest or exposure to AI\/ML, IoT, MEC, or NFV technologies is beneficial.Qualifications\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical, Computer, Telecommunications, or Networking Engineering.\u2022 Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in satellite, telecom, or advanced networking R&D.\u2022 Proven ability to produce clear technical documentation and analysis reports.\u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\u2022 Excellent communication skills in English.\u2022 Self-driven, collaborative, and comfortable working in an R&D-focused environment.","thumbnail_url":"https:\/\/spacebridge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/SpaceBridge-logo-no-tagline-full-color-on-white-or-blue.png","thumbnail_width":1474,"thumbnail_height":730}
