The successful candidate will help translate system concepts into actionable requirements, support development teams during design and bring-up, and actively participate in end-to-end system integration, debugging, and validation.Key Responsibilities&#x2022; Define system-level architectures, interfaces, and specifications for hub and terminal subsystems.&#x2022; Perform end-to-end system analysis of DVB-RCS2 / DVB-S2X technologies, including traffic flows, timing, QoS, and synchronization.&#x2022; Participate in the integration and validation of new features (e.g. mobility, SDN/VNF, MEC, encryption, cloud integration).&#x2022; Support hub and modem development through modeling, simulation, and lab testing.&#x2022; Develop and maintain system requirements, sequence diagrams, and test plans, ensuring traceability from design to verification.&#x2022; Conduct lab-based troubleshooting and experimentation using RF, baseband, and networking tools.&#x2022; Contribute to automation and test scripts for system-level regression and performance validation.&#x2022; Collaborate closely with HW, FPGA, DSP, and software teams to ensure alignment with system intent and performance objectives.&#x2022; Prepare technical documentation and specifications for internal use and selected external stakeholdersKnowledge and Experience&#x2022; Solid understanding of satellite and wireless communication systems, including modulation, coding, synchronization, propagation, and resource control.&#x2022; Strong familiarity with DVB-S2X / DVB-RCS2 or similar standards.&#x2022; Strong foundation in IP networking, including routing, switching, QoS, acceleration techniques, SDN, and virtualization.&#x2022; Hands-on experience with Linux-based systems and lab environments, including traffic generation, network traffic analysis, and system-level troubleshooting.&#x2022; Familiarity with scripting and automation tools to support system integration and validation activities is an asset.&#x2022; Experience with cellular backhauling, Metro Ethernet (MEF 3.0), or SD-WAN is an asset.&#x2022; Hands-on experience in telecom lab environments, integrating routers, modems, and network analyzers.&#x2022; Working knowledge of security and encryption mechanisms.&#x2022; Familiarity with NMS/EMS, OSS/BSS, and accounting systems is an asset.&#x2022; Exposure to cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, virtualization, containerization) is a plus.&#x2022; Interest or exposure to AI/ML, IoT, MEC, or NFV technologies is beneficial.Qualifications&#x2022; Bachelor&#x2019;s degree in Electrical, Computer, Telecommunications, or Networking Engineering.&#x2022; Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in satellite, telecom, or advanced networking R&amp;D.&#x2022; Proven ability to produce clear technical documentation and analysis reports.&#x2022; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.&#x2022; Excellent communication skills in English.&#x2022; Self-driven, collaborative, and comfortable working in an R&amp;D-focused environment.</description><thumbnail_url>https://spacebridge.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/SpaceBridge-logo-no-tagline-full-color-on-white-or-blue.png</thumbnail_url><thumbnail_width>1474</thumbnail_width><thumbnail_height>730</thumbnail_height></oembed>
